We have been discussing ways to limit and restrict some of the more boring and repeated tournament builds in Portugal. We have tried the prohibition model, in which we simply make some Warhammer Online Gold and combos unavailable; we have tried the imitating model in which we use tier systems as global point restrictions and race-specific limitations to cover the details.
We have been proposing the penalty model, in which we offer freedom to all players of all races within 2250 points, but stripping them from a certain amount of points each time they break one of the so-called reasonable army composition rules. So we basically tax the most extreme builds, instead of forbidding or limiting them explicitly. The tax types each of the races are subject to changes, in order to reflect certain specific elements of their nature.
